Vitreous enamel public art | Ipswich School

A commission to design and manufacture an 8m-long public artwork to front a new arts building in an ancient educational setting in Ipswich. The idea follows the town’s timeline in accurate graphic form leaving voids that create huge letterforms. Historical archive research led to a range of ideas, and eventual manufacture in Germany using vitreous enamel.
